Operation Smile is an international non-profit organization that has been active for forty years with foundations in Italy, Europe, Africa, Central and South America, Asia, and the Middle East. Thanks to thousands of volunteer doctors, nurses, and healthcare professionals from all over the world, it is committed to making surgical care accessible and free in low- and middle-income countries, training local healthcare personnel, and donating medical equipment for the care and treatment of all people born with a facial malformation and in need. Beyond surgery, a crucial step, it provides comprehensive care based on the needs of each child, including speech therapy, nutritional support, dentistry, and psychosocial support.
